Tattersail
when we met i had not yet lived,
now i've died 1000 times,
i'm desiccated, floating through the brine
with eyes piercing the abyss.
you were soft and supple,
we held hands and you heard a creak,
i cast my gaze at your smile as we
tap danced on sinking ships.
i used to count the days then,
and each foe put to the blade,
you used to sing to flowers,
in wending find a way.
i've tried that on my own now
for what must have been centuries,
but melodies fall harsh when you're dust
and paths love to lead astray.
now i've died 1000 times,
i'm desiccated, floating through the brine
with eyes piercing the abyss.
you were soft and supple,
we held hands and you heard a creak,
i cast my gaze at your smile as we

and each foe put to the blade,

i've tried that on my own now
for what must have been centuries,
but melodies fall harsh when you're dust
and paths love to lead astray.
